Darkseid - Green Lantern 80 Page Giant #3

 Green Lantern 80-Page Giant #3 tells the story of a confrontation between Darkseid and a Green Lantern, named Raker, who wants to end Darkseid's oppressive treatment of his people. Raker threatens Darkseid by educating the rock-like-villain about the power of his ring. Darkseid responds by crushing Raker's hand and taking the ring for himself. 

Raker flees to tell the Lantern Corps about his defeat while Darkseid's scientist, Desaad, analyzes the Green power ring. Desaad discovers that the ring has a devastating weakness against yellow power so Darkseid, anticipating an attack from the Lantern Corps, outfits his entire army in gold. When the Lanterns arrive, Darkseid and his men slaughter thousands of them before the Guardians show up to end the fighting.

The Guardians name Darkseid the victor and declare that the population of Apokolips wouldn't know what to do with freedom if the Lanterns gave it to them.
