This story arc, beginning with 1995's The Amazing Spider-Man #400 and ending with 1998's The Amazing Spider-Man #263, is the perfect example of how Green Goblin's knowledge of Spider-Man's true identity allows him to torment Peter Parker in ways other villains can only dream of.
